It's June 10. School is out or almost out, the days are longer, and the temperatures are climbing. Which means it's officially iced tea season — and also, conveniently, National Iced Tea Day.

We drink the Herbal Tea Concentrate year-round, but summer is when it really comes into its own over ice. Here's why, and a few ways to make the most of it.

Why Iced Tea Is Better Than You're Giving It Credit For

The iced tea most people grow up with — the kind in the plastic gallon jugs at the grocery store — is often loaded with sugar and corn syrup, making it closer to a soft drink than an actual health choice. That's too bad, because real iced tea made from quality ingredients is one of the most refreshing, naturally functional beverages out there.

Green tea served cold retains all of its antioxidant and metabolic benefits. You're staying hydrated. You're getting a natural, moderate caffeine boost that doesn't spike like a can of soda. And depending on what you mix it with, you can hit some interesting flavor combinations without any artificial sweetener.

Our Favorite Iced Tea Recipes

Classic Cold Brew: Mix half a teaspoon of Herbal Tea Concentrate (sweet ginger) into 16 oz of cold water. Add ice and a squeeze of lemon. That's it. Clean, crisp, and genuinely delicious.

Peachy Iced Tea: Mix Herbal Tea Concentrate with cold water, then add a scoop of Beverage Mix in peach mango. The result tastes like summer in a cup and keeps you hydrated without any sugar guilt.

Tea Protein Shake: Blend Herbal Tea Concentrate with cold water, a scoop of Formula 1 Shake, and ice. You get the tea flavor, the protein punch, and a creamy texture that works as a real meal. Great for post-morning workouts when the weather's too warm for anything heavy.

Hydration Matters More in Summer

Heat increases your fluid needs — sometimes significantly. Iced tea counts toward your daily hydration total, especially when it's not loaded with diuretics like excessive caffeine or sugar. Starting the morning with an iced tea and being intentional about water throughout the day goes a long way.
