National Wellness Month: 31 Days to Build Something That Lasts
National Wellness Month in August is one of our favorite observances, not because of grand gestures or 30-day challenges, but because it's a full month of permission to focus on yourself. And there's real value in that.
Most people don't lack knowledge about what healthy living looks like. They lack a system — a sequence of habits that fit into their real life, not some idealized version of it. August is 31 days to experiment, adjust, and find what actually works.
What "Wellness" Really Covers
Wellness is broader than fitness and nutrition, though those are the areas we know best. It also encompasses:
- Sleep — nothing else works well without it
- Stress management — chronic stress disrupts hormones, appetite, and recovery
- Hydration — still the most underestimated wellness lever
- Community and connection — isolation is measurably bad for health
We can't give you a solution to everything on that list, but we can tell you that addressing nutrition often creates a positive ripple effect across the others. When your body has the fuel it needs, sleep quality often improves. Energy goes up. You're more likely to exercise. It's a cascade.
Building Your August Routine
Here's a simple daily framework that we'd suggest as a starting point:
Morning: Herbal Tea Concentrate to wake up digestion and metabolism. Follow with a Formula 1 Shake as a balanced, protein-rich breakfast.
Midday: A glass of water with Herbal Aloe Concentrate to support hydration and digestive health. A whole food lunch focused on lean protein and vegetables.
Afternoon: Another Herbal Tea Concentrate over ice if you need a pick-me-up — it's a much cleaner option than a 3pm coffee.
Evening: A real dinner. A walk. Screens off earlier than usual.
The One Thing
If you're feeling overwhelmed and you want a single place to start, pick the morning shake. It's the highest-leverage change we see people make — a nutritionally complete breakfast that takes four minutes to prepare and sets the tone for the rest of the day.
